Scones

An english recipe for the tea time or for dessert. You can add some filling or some sauce to make it different with your own style

Ingredients:

250 g flour
50 g butter
150 ml milk
25 g caster sugar
1 tbsp baking powder
1 egg beaten
1 pinch of salt

Preparation

Cut the butter into cubes.
In a bowl, combine the butter, flour and baking powder.
Stir in the sugar and the milk. Stir until you get a soft dough.
Turn the mixture on to a floured board. Roll out the dough to ¾ inch thick..
Cut some rounds using a 2 in cutter and place on a baking sheet.
Brush with the beaten egg and place in the oven.
Cook for about 15 minutes until golden brown.
